The RHS community comes together to furnish the Tiger Den.
By Arden Babb
Inspired by the sight of students reduced to sitting on the floor before/after school, and during lunch, Mr Pierce joined together with help from the Ringgold community to create the Tiger Den for Ringgold High School. This Den has given not only students, but faculty and staff, a location to socialize, study, meet, and dine. The Tiger Den has also served as a place for signing parties for Ringgold’s athletes and is available for academic banquets. However, the Tiger Den has not always been such an easily accessible place for members of the community. Over the course of one year, the Ringgold community came together to raise $15,000 for the Tiger Den. Capital Bank, Community National Bank, the Evitt Foundation RTC, and the Northwest Georgia Bank Committee were very generous donors who earned the Gold Level Contribution, meaning they gave at least $1,000. The Silver Level Contributor was the RHS Faculty and Staff, and there were many Bronze Level Contributors such as Dr. Rodney Crowe, Dr. Jason Webb, First Baptist Church of Ringgold, and Ringgold United methodist Church. Jeff Crawford and Amy Bagby were the standout contributors form Ringgold High School. There were also many other contributions from various people in the community that are greatly appreciated. “This would not have been possible without the help of all tigers, past and present, far and near,” states Mr. Pierce.
