Summer School 2022 Unit / Credit Recovery

If you failed an academic class, Spanish, French, health, PE, From Here to Career, or Intro to Business Technology, you have the following options.

  1. Unit Recovery (failing grade 65-69) – complete 2 Apex units in the course with an average of 70 in each unit and receive a 70 for the course grade. The units are selected by the course teacher. Students must attend summer school and complete all assigned work in the units. The deadline for unit recovery is Monday, June 13th at 3:00 p.m. Unit recovery replaces the failing grade with a 70.

  1. Unit Recovery (failing grade 60-64) – complete 4 Apex units in the course with an average of 70 in each unit and receive a 70 for the course grade. The units are selected by the course teacher. Students must attend summer school and complete all assigned work in the units. The deadline for unit recovery is Monday, June 13th at 3:00 p.m. Unit recovery replaces the failing grade with a 70.

  1. Credit recovery – Students with a failing grade below 60 must choose one of the following options:

    1. Attend Summer School in late May/June

    2. Retake the course in the traditional classroom

    3. Retake the course in the APEX classroom (not always an option)

Unit Recovery is available Wednesday, June 1st – Monday, June 13th at 3:00 p.m. and credit recovery will be available until Thursday, June 23rd. Students may work on the APEX units at home or attend in-person in room 209 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, June 1st - Thursday, June 2nd

  • Monday, June 6th - Thursday, June 9th

  • Monday, June 13th - Thursday, June 16th

  • Monday, June 20th -  Thursday, June 23rd

If bus transportation is needed for summer school beginning Monday, June 6th, please notify Ms. Kristee Dabovich ([email protected]) of the student’s name and address. RHS highly encourages students to work in room 209 from 8:00-3:00 p.m. on the dates provided.  Breakfast and lunch will also be provided for students. 

Unit Recovery must be completed NO LATER than Monday, June 13th at 3:00 p.m. There will be NO exceptions. Credit recovery will be available through June 23rd.  Mr. Thompson and Ms. Dabovich facilitate unit and credit recovery. Mr. Murdoch will be available during the summer school hours to provide mathematics assistance as well.  Report to Mr. Thompson or Ms. Dabovich for questions and assistance.
